Stacky the Squirrel Stacks It Up

Stacky is a bright, bushy-tailed squirrel with quick little paws and the happiest job in BrickTots: Stacky stacks. Give Stacky a brick and she pops it down. Give her another, and she pops it right on top. Brick… on brick… on brick!

Because sometimes there is a high flag, way up where Brick the badger wants to go. And Brick can only climb up ONE step at a time. So how does he get up high? Stacky knows!

“You STACK!” she chirps, tail twitching with glee. “Brick on brick makes it taller. Stack them up into a step, and up he climbs!”

Watch Stacky work. One brick on the ground. Now one more brick on top - that makes a little step, one high. Now beside it, stack TWO bricks - a step, two high. Now THREE. And look! A little staircase, going up, up, up, one step at a time - just gentle enough for Brick.

Stacky loves the feeling of it. Each brick she stacks, the higher it goes, and the closer Brick gets to that high flag. Up we build. Brick by brick. Higher and higher.

A grown-up can play too! Get some blocks and be Stacky together. Stack them up - one, then two on top, then three - and make a little staircase on the floor. Say it as you go: “brick… on brick… on brick - UP!” Then walk your fingers up the steps you built, one at a time, like Brick the badger.

When the staircase is done and Brick climbs Stacky’s stack all the way to the high flag, Stacky claps her little paws and her tail goes poof with pride. “We stacked it UP!” she cheers. “Brick by brick, and up he went!” And she feels the warm, bouncy happiness of a squirrel who helped a friend reach something high.
