Bluma Sings at the Bottom

Bluma was the biggest, gentlest whale in the sea, and Bluma lived at the bottom of the scale — down where the notes are deep and round and warm. When a song needed its lowest step, Bluma was already there, humming a note you could feel more than hear.

The scale is like a staircase in the water: the high steps sparkle near the surface, and the low steps rest down deep with Bluma. When you sang your lowest comfy note — round and soft, never pushed — Bluma hummed the very same one, and the whole sea seemed to settle and calm.

Bluma never rushed and never strained. A low note isn’t a “worse” note than a high one — it’s the sturdy floor the whole song stands on. Sing it gently, let it be deep and easy, and Bluma will always be down there humming with you, steady as the deep blue.

At the end of a song, the little singer dropped all the way down to Bluma’s note — low, warm, and true — and Bluma gave a long, happy whale-song back. The bottom of the scale is a cozy place to be. Sink down low, and Bluma’s right there.
