Meet your mentor
Every Spark & Anvil app has a friendly mentor character that demonstrates, asks, and patiently scaffolds learning. On-device AI personalizes the mentor's responses to your kid's progress — never connecting to a server, never collecting data.

#E88774 Characters who teach
Meet the cast
In LyricForge, Pip the sparrow is your child's songwriting partner, and Pip's meadow friends each teach one part of writing a song. Chime hears rhymes, Step keeps the beat of the words, Holler finds the chorus everyone sings back, Turn takes the song somewhere new in the bridge, and Spark asks for one clear, concrete image. Groove, Zing, Lift, Belt, and Croon cover rhythm, wordplay, the build to the chorus, singable vowels, and singing something true.
Chime
Rhyme / vowel-echo — chickadee whose listening-cupped wing catches and returns rhyming partners

Step
Meter / cadence — rabbit whose hop-rhythm enacts the stressed-syllable pattern
Read chapter →
Holler
Hook / chorus anchor — bullfinch with megaphone who picks ONE line and makes it sing-back-loud
Read chapter →
Turn
Bridge / off-the-path — crow in a long traveling coat who walks the lyric into a new feeling and earns the return
Read chapter →
Spark
Image / sensory anchor — firefly whose abdomen brightens ONLY on specific concrete word-choices (dim on abstractions)
Read chapter →
Groove
Rhythmic pocket — mellow toad who rides the beat just behind it; the same words can march or dance depending on where they sit against the groove
Read chapter →
Zing
Wordplay — electric-blue dragonfly whose wings spark on a pun or double-meaning; clever-AND-true sparks, clever-for-its-own-sake falls flat
Read chapter →
Lift
Pre-chorus build — long-legged crane-fly who rises onto her toes; the chorus only soars because she made you climb to it (the build is a promise the chorus keeps)
Read chapter →
Belt
Singability — big-lunged frog with a wide-open throat; open vowels ring on long notes, tight consonant clusters strangle them (always sing it aloud)
Read chapter →
Croon
Sincerity — dove-grey nightingale who sings small true songs; all the other craft serves the one honest feeling underneath (one true feeling beats a hundred fake)

How LyricForge handles your kid's data
- ✅ All progress, settings, and AI-generated content stays on the device
- ✅ No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs
- ✅ Free — no ads, no in-app purchases
- ✅ No personal information collected from children — in line with COPPA (updated by the 2026 FTC amendments)
- ✅ No chat with strangers — play-together rooms use a short code and preset emotes, never typed messages
LyricForge runs on ForgeKit — the open-source Swift Package Manager framework that powers every Spark & Anvil app. ForgeKit ensures consistent accessibility, COPPA compliance, and design language across the portfolio, so your kid's progress and preferences feel coherent across every app they touch.
