Sem

HOME KEY (S)

Sem on the S Key

Right next door to Ash lives Sem, a cheerful key-friend on the S key. Sem is home for your left ring finger — the finger next to your pinky.

Sem’s job is simple: your left ring finger rests softly on S, and always comes back home to S after it types.

Can you find Sem? Put your left ring finger on the S key, right beside your pinky on A. Feel the two friends sit side by side.

Say it with Sem: “Left ring finger, next in line — Sem on S is doing fine.”

Two home keys down! Ash on A, Sem on S, sitting cozy together. Your left hand is finding its home.

Reading together with a grown-up? A card for the grown-up

For the grown-up: ask one question, then wait. When they answer, add one word to what they said. Tap the button when they have said something — that is one turn each, a circle. Nothing is recorded or kept.

Let them finish it

Say “Left ring finger, next in line — Sem …” and stop. Let them finish it.

Then say the whole line together: “Left ring finger, next in line — Sem on S is doing fine.”.

Now wait. Count slowly to five in your head. Their answer is worth the quiet.

Circles together: 0
