HOME KEY (semicolon) — *your right pinky rests on the ; key and always returns there — the last home key of the row.*

Semi on the ; Key

At the very end of the right hand lives Semi, the last key-friend, sitting on the ; (semicolon) key. Semi is home for your right pinky — the smallest finger on your right hand.

Semi’s job finishes the home row: your right pinky rests on the ; key, and always comes back home to Semi.

Can you find Semi? Put your right pinky on the ; key, beside Elle on L. Now look — ALL your fingers are home!

Say it with Semi: “Right pinky rests at the very end — Semi is your last home friend.”

Ash, Sem, Dee, Fen on the left; Jay, Kit, Elle, Semi on the right. Eight little friends, eight home keys, all eight fingers resting comfy. That’s the whole home row — your home base for typing anything!

The qwertypals ensemble

Semi is part of qwertypals's distributed-narrative cast. Each character embodies a different curricular primitive; together they teach the full subject.
