Fact vs. Opinion

A fact can be checked and proven true or false; an opinion is a belief or preference that can’t be proven wrong.
🗣️ Coach says
“Water boils at 100°C” is a fact — you can test it. “Summer is the best season” is an opinion — no test settles it. Mixing them up is where arguments go wrong. Ask: “could I check this?”

News reporters are trained to separate the two — a good article states facts and clearly labels opinions, so you can judge for yourself.
⚖️ The claim on trial:
“It is a FACT that summer is the best season.”
You're the judge. Deliver a verdict, pick the evidence that really matters, then reveal.
✗ Weak / flawed — Weak / flawed — “best season” is a preference no test can settle, so calling it a FACT is wrong. (The long-days point is a real fact, but it’s about daylight, not “best”.)
If it can’t be checked and settled the same for everyone, it’s an opinion — not a fact.
