Justice is treating people fairly — sometimes equally (same for all), sometimes equitably (what each needs).

Fair doesn’t always mean identical. Equality gives everyone the same; equity gives each what they need to reach the same chance. A short kid and a tall kid need different-height boxes to see over the fence.
