Plant Biology: Seeds, Growth & Harvest

📋 What it is

A plant’s life cycle — seed, sprout, grow, flower, fruit, seed again — is the heartbeat of farming.

🗣️ Coach says

Every crop follows a life cycle. A SEED sprouts, GROWS roots, stem and leaves, then FLOWERS and makes FRUIT or grain (with new seeds inside). Farmers time everything — planting, watering, harvesting — to this cycle, picking at just the right moment for the best, ripest food.

🧠 Memory hook

Plant life cycle: seed → sprout → grow → flower → fruit/seed. Farmers time planting + harvest to it.

😂 Giggle

I tried to start a crop rotation joke, but it just kept going in circles!

😲 Whoa!

A single corn plant grown from ONE seed can produce two ears with hundreds of kernels each — turning one seed into a thousand new ones in a season.

✅ Quick check: What are the main stages of a crop plant’s life cycle?

Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.

🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)

Sprout a bean on damp paper and watch it go seed → root → shoot over days — the cycle begins.

🤸 Brain break: Grow-up: crouch as a seed, rise, then "flower" your hands open at the top.
