Designing real aircraft is a web of TRADE-OFFS. Want more speed? It usually costs fuel. Want lighter? Watch strength. Want cheaper? Never at the expense of safety. Engineers can’t maximise everything, so they balance competing goals for the plane’s specific job — a cargo hauler and a fighter jet solve very different problems.
