Rockets are flight’s ultimate step. Unlike jets, which need air to burn fuel, a rocket carries BOTH fuel and its own oxygen — so it can push in the vacuum of SPACE where there’s no air. Blasting that burning gas out the back thrusts it forward. That’s how we reach orbit, the Moon, and beyond.
