Insulation & Thermal Design

Insulation slows heat transfer; smart design traps or releases heat where you want it.

Insulation is engineering the flow of heat. Trapped air (in a puffy coat, double-glazed window, or foam cup) is a poor conductor, so it slows heat escaping in winter or entering in summer. Good thermal design chooses materials and shapes to keep heat exactly where it belongs.
