Integers include negatives; on the number line, left is smaller and right is larger.
🗣️ Coach says
Numbers go both ways from zero. Negatives sit to the LEFT (below zero — like temperatures or being in debt). On the line, further right always means bigger, so −1 is actually bigger than −5.
🧠 Memory hook
Left = smaller (more negative). Right = bigger. So −1 > −5, even though 5 looks "bigger".
