Different dice and combinations give different odds; rolling two dice makes middle numbers far more likely than the extremes.

Dice are probability you can hold. One die is equally likely to land on any face — but roll TWO and add them, and 7 shows up far more than 2 or 12 (there are more ways to make it). Understanding this lets a designer set fair odds.

When you roll two six-sided dice, you’re six times more likely to get a 7 than a 2 — because there are six ways to make 7 and only one to make 2.
✅ Quick check: Why is rolling a 7 with two dice much more likely than rolling a 2?
Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
Because there are many combinations that add to 7 (1+6, 2+5, 3+4…) but only one that makes 2 (1+1) — more ways = higher probability.
