Misconceptions & Reasoning

📋 What it is

Many game “beliefs” are myths — like “a higher roll is always better” or “luck beats strategy”; the math tells the real story.

🗣️ Coach says

Some game “common sense” is wrong. Luck matters, but over many rolls, good strategy and probability win. And a “lucky streak” doesn’t change the next roll’s odds. Beat a game myth the same way: check what the math actually says.

🧠 Memory hook

“Lucky streaks” don’t change the next roll. Strategy + probability win long-term.

😂 Giggle

What did the AoE fireball say to the narrow hallway?
"I've got you covered — in every square!"

😲 Whoa!

A die has no memory — even after rolling a 6 five times in a row, the chance of another 6 is exactly the same as always.

✅ Quick check: After rolling a 6 three times in a row, is the next roll more, less, or equally likely to be a 6?

Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.

🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)

Name one game “luck” belief you’ve heard and think about whether the math supports it.
