Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
Bees are important/helpful to farming — the three examples are supporting details for that one point.
Repeated supporting details all point back to the single main idea.
🪄 Trick question: Is a single interesting detail (“a bee visits 100 flowers a day”) the main idea?
Careful — think it through, then reveal.
No — that’s a supporting detail; the main idea is the bigger point the whole passage makes.
A main idea covers the whole text, not one fact within it.
