Mission 2 of 16

Ruptures Are Normal

📋 What it is

Conflict and hurt happen in EVERY close relationship — a rupture is not proof that something is wrong with you.

🗣️ Coach says

Even the best friendships have bumps. A rupture doesn’t mean you’re a bad friend or the friendship is doomed — it means two real people bumped into each other. Believing "ruptures are normal" takes away the shame and lets you focus on the repair instead of panicking or hiding.

🧠 Memory hook

Every close friendship has bumps. A rupture is normal — what matters is the repair afterward.

😂 Giggle

Why did a good apology have three parts?
Because "I'm sorry," "here's what I did," and "here's how I'll make it right" is the full package!

😲 Whoa!

Relationship researchers find it’s not the couples or friends who never argue who last — it’s the ones who REPAIR well.

✅ Quick check: Does having a rupture with a friend mean you’re a bad friend?

Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.

🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)

Notice a time two characters (or people) argued and stayed friends. What did the repair look like?
