Mission 10 of 16

Earth Systems

📋 What it is

Earth’s systems — land, water, air, and life — constantly interact and cycle materials.

🗣️ Coach says

Earth isn’t four separate things — its land (geosphere), water (hydrosphere), air (atmosphere), and living things (biosphere) constantly swap materials. Water evaporates from oceans, rains on land, feeds plants, and returns. The systems are gears that turn each other.

🧠 Memory hook

Land, water, air, life — four systems that cycle materials and drive each other.

😂 Giggle

What did the beaker say to the test tube?
"You're tubular!"

😲 Whoa!

Every water molecule you drink has cycled through Earth for billions of years — you might be drinking water that once flowed past a dinosaur.

✅ Quick check: Rain falls, feeds a river, evaporates, and falls again. Which Earth systems interact here?

Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.

🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)

Trace a raindrop’s journey: cloud → ground → river → ocean → evaporate → cloud. It’s a loop across systems.

⭐ Do the round to earn your star →
🤸 Brain break: Cycle-arms: mime rain falling, water flowing, and steam rising in a loop.
