Forensic work follows a careful chain: secure the scene, document it, collect evidence, then analyse it.

The order matters. First SECURE the scene so nothing is disturbed, DOCUMENT it (photos, notes), then COLLECT evidence without contaminating it, and only THEN analyse. Skip a step and the evidence can’t be trusted.
