Improvisation

📋 What it is

Improvisation is unscripted performance built by accepting offers ("Yes, and…") and reacting in the moment.

🗣️ Coach says

Improv has no script — actors make it up together, right now. The golden rule is "Yes, and…": ACCEPT what your partner gives you (yes) and ADD to it (and). Blocking ("no") stops the scene dead; accepting and building keeps it alive. It is pure teamwork and quick thinking.

🧠 Memory hook

Improv = no script. "Yes, and…" — accept your partner's offer and build on it.

😂 Giggle

What did the monologue say to the dialogue?
"I can handle this all by myself!"

😲 Whoa!

The "Yes, and…" rule is so useful that businesses teach it in meetings — accepting and building on ideas works far beyond the stage.
