Some wild plants are food or medicine — but many look-alikes are toxic, so NEVER eat one you’re unsure of.

People have used wild plants for food and medicine for thousands of years — but this is the skill that demands the MOST caution. Many safe plants have poisonous look-alikes, and a mistake can be deadly. The golden rule: NEVER eat any wild plant unless a knowledgeable adult is 100% certain what it is.
