Balancing tricks, inertia stunts, and “floating” objects are physics laws in disguise.

The classic “pull the tablecloth without moving the dishes” is inertia: objects resist changing motion. A balancing toy works because of its centre of mass. What looks like a magician’s secret is really a physics law you can name — and once you name it, the magic makes sense.
