Prefixes & Roots I

📋 What it is

A prefix is added to the front of a root to change its meaning (un-, re-, pre-).

🗣️ Coach says

Long words are built from parts. A ROOT carries the core meaning; a PREFIX at the front changes it. "un-" means not (unhappy), "re-" means again (redo). Spot the parts and you can decode a word you've never seen.

🧠 Memory hook

Prefix (front) + root (core). "un-" = not, "re-" = again. Break the word to crack it.
