DialTots

Where is your body right now - sleepy, calm, just-right, perky, or wiggly? DialTots is a big, tappable energy dial for your 3-5-year-old: slide from still to stirred-up, try a little body move at each stop, and learn that energy is its OWN thing (you can be a calm-happy or a wiggly-happy!). Spring the springtail rides the dial; a gentle wiggle wakes you, a slow breath settles you - never a wrong place to be. Read-aloud help, and nothing is ever saved.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

DialTots teaches ONE axis of feeling - energy (arousal) - as a body dial a 3-5 child can slide, before they can read a two-axis map. The big idea: energy is SEPARATE from good/bad (a calm-happy or a wiggly-happy). Spring the springtail rides the whole dial; Doze anchors the still low end, Zizz the buzzy high end, Lolla the calm middle. Every stop is okay, and nothing a child moves is ever saved.

S

Spring

Ride the dial (hero) - a springtail whose body curls still then boings wiggly, showing the WHOLE range of energy; helps the child find where their body is and that a gentle move can shift it. The dial-finding act IS Spring.

D

Doze

The still, low end - heavy, slow, floppy energy (sleepy); embodies the bottom of the dial, a real and okay place to be.

Z

Zizz

The buzzy, high end - fast, bouncy, hard-to-hold-still energy (wiggly); embodies the top of the dial, also real and okay.

L

Lolla

The calm middle - soft and settled, breathing easy; embodies the comfy centre where each visit starts (energy is a dial, not a good/bad ladder).
