TalkTots

One warm feelings-talk a day, to share out loud with your 3-5-year-old. Ember the glow-worm lights the talk: show me the feeling, when did YOU feel it today, and here's mine too - then a tiny closing ritual. A picture-word to point at, read-aloud help, and nothing is ever saved. For grown-ups and little ones, together.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

TalkTots is a grown-up-first daily emotion-talk deck for the youngest children. RULER is adult-first for a reason - a caring grown-up naming feelings out loud is what helps most - so Ember the glow-worm lights ONE short talk a day for a grown-up and a 3-5 child to share. The three companions each embody one talk-move; every feeling belongs, nothing is a test, and nothing is ever saved.

E

Ember

Light one talk a day (hero) - a glow-worm who lights a single warm feelings-talk each day: name the feeling together, then close it with a tiny ritual. The daily-naming act IS Ember.

M

Mimsy

Show me the feeling - a moth who shows a feeling with her whole fluttery body, so the child MAKES the feeling (production), never reads a cartoon face.

D

Dewdrop

When did you feel it? - a slow, patient snail who remembers the day and gently asks the child when THEY felt the feeling.

C

Cricket

...and me too - a cricket who chirps back his own feeling so no one ever shares alone (the grown-up-first reciprocity move: the adult goes first).
