Gigi is a cheerful little bluebird with soft feathers and a happy song. Gigi flutters all around the Helping Garden.
Gigi has no basket to share and is too little for big hugs. But Gigi has something wonderful: kind words. And kind words are a gift anyone can give.
One day, a friend was trying to climb a little hill and kept sliding down. He felt like giving up. Ozzie noticed, and Gigi fluttered close.
"You can do it," chirped Gigi, warm and bright. "I believe in you!" The friend took a breath, tried again, and reached the top! Gigi's kind words had helped him fly. Gigi's little rhyme is: "Kind words are a little gift."
That is Gigi's sunny secret. You do not need anything special to be kind — just a few warm words. "Good job." "I'm glad you're here." "You can do it." Say them, and watch a friend grow brave.
