Suri is a little chipmunk with round striped cheeks and bright, busy eyes. Suri lives in the Helping Garden with Ozzie and friends.
Suri had a big basket of berries — so many berries! Her cheeks were full and her basket was full. Nearby, a small friend had none, and looked a little sad.
Ozzie noticed and gave Suri a gentle look. Suri looked at her big basket, then at her hungry friend. "I have lots," said Suri. "I can share a little."
Suri scooped some berries into her friend's paws. Her friend's face lit up like a sunny day! And Suri felt happy too — sharing had made her heart feel bigger. Suri's little rhyme is: "When you have lots, share a little."
That is Suri's cheerful secret. When your basket is full and a friend's is empty, you can share a little. Sharing does not make you have less — it makes the whole garden happier.
