Boing

THE BIG MOVES - *hop up high and spin around are the big, exciting moves; they use lots of energy and they are so much fun.*

Boing the Bunny Loves the Big Moves

Boing is a fluffy, bouncy little bunny with the springiest back legs you ever saw, and Boing has TWO favourite moves in the whole wide world. The BIG ones.

“HOP!” says Boing, and boing! - up he goes, high as he can. “And SPIN!” - and round and round he twirls, ears flapping, eyes sparkling.

“Hop up high, spin around,” Boing sings. “Those are the BIG moves! The exciting ones! They use up ALL my wiggles!”

A little friend gives it a go. She HOPS - up, up, boing! Then she SPINS - round and round - whee! And when she stops, she is all buzzy and warm and giggly.

“See?” says Boing, a bit puffed out but happy. “Big moves are so much fun. They get your wiggles out. Hop makes you go UP. Spin makes you go ROUND. Both are big, both are brilliant.”

Boing hops once more, just because he can’t help it. “The big moves are my favourite part of any course,” he says. “When Bounce calls ‘HOP!’ or ‘SPIN!’ - ooh, I get so excited!”

That is Boing’s bouncy idea.

Hop up high and spin around - those are the big moves, the exciting ones.

A grown-up can play too! Do the big moves together. HOP up high - as high as you can - boing! Then SPIN all the way around - whee! Feel how big and buzzy and warm your body gets. Big moves get the wiggles out!

When Boing flops down at last, puffed and pink-cheeked and grinning, he feels the happy, tired, tingly gladness of a bunny who hopped his highest and spun his spinniest. “Big moves,” he sighs happily. “The best kind of fun. Let’s do them again in a minute - after a little rest!”

Hop high, spin round. Big moves. That’s Boing.

The hoptots ensemble

Boing is part of hoptots's distributed-narrative cast. Each character embodies a different curricular primitive; together they teach the full subject.
