Print a Cape

Make your brave cape.

Print this page, colour the cape, and (with a grown-up) cut it out and pin it on. Put it on for the brave moments — and take it off when the brave part is done. Print it and it’s yours.

Brave moments to wear it for

A big new slide at the park. can feel Scared
The block tower keeps tumbling down. can feel Angry
It’s time to say goodbye. can feel Sad
A food you have never tried is on your plate. can feel Scared
The light is off and the room feels dark. can feel Scared
The zipper (or shoe, or puzzle) just will not work. can feel Angry

A pocket card for the hard moment

For the grown-up: cut it out, fold it on the line, and keep it in a pocket. Ask these while the hard thing is happening.

Brave Me Thimble’s cape card

  1. Is Brave You trying?
  2. What would Brave You do next?
  3. Do you want a hand? Asking is brave too.

“Not yet” is always a brave answer.

The cape is just for fun and for feeling brave — “not yet” is always allowed. CapeTots is for playing, not testing, and nothing is saved.
