Playing CratePals together 📦
CratePals is a crate lab for ages 6–8. It takes the loot-crate a child meets in their favourite games and does the one thing those games hide: it prints the odds right on the lid, and never lets you buy an open. The big idea: a "chance" is a number, and a pile settles toward it the more you open.
1 · Read the lid
Every crate shows exactly what's inside and how likely each prize is — Sprout 70%, Flower 25%, Sunflower 5%. Talk about it: "which do you think you'll get most?"
2 · Open, and watch the pile
Tap Open one, or fast-forward with Open 10 / Open 100. Beside each prize the app shows what you got and about how many the odds expect. The more you open, the closer your pile gets to the lid's numbers — that's the law of large numbers, and a six-year-old can watch it happen.
3 · See how rare "rare" really is
The Ocean Crate hides a Pearl at 0.5% — about once every 200 opens. Open a hundred and it probably never shows. This is the honest heart of the lab: rare means rare, and no amount of wanting it changes the number.
4 · Make your own crate
Tap Make your own crate, set each prize's chance, then guess: "in 100 opens, how many of this one?" Run it and compare — a wonderful side-by-side talking moment.
No timers, no streaks, no score, and nothing to buy. Opens are free forever and nothing runs out. On-device — nothing leaves your device.
