About CubeSensei Play
How it works
CubeSensei teaches the Rubik's Cube the way solvers actually think: the language of turns, what each move does, and the methods that build up to a full solve — all in the browser, on a flat cube net, with an optional 3-D view and no camera required.
- Cube-Net Trainer — an unfolded cube you turn with real notation buttons (R, U′, F2…). Every sticker shows its colour letter, so you can watch exactly which pieces move — then try famous patterns like the checkerboard, the trigger (R U R′ U′), and the superflip.
- Algorithm Drill — build the inverse of a sequence to undo it, read what each move means, and learn the logic behind the turns (why R⁴ comes back to solved).
- Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from notation and cube anatomy through F2L, OLL, and PLL.
- Cube Pattern of the Day — one fresh spatial puzzle every day, the same one for everyone, with no account needed.
- Achievements — small on-device milestones that celebrate what you've learned (nothing is shared or ranked against anyone).
Flat first, 3-D when you want it
The web version teaches on a flat cube net you turn with notation: all six faces are visible at once, every sticker is labelled with its colour letter, and it works on any device with no camera. When you want to see the cube as an object, the Cube-Net Trainer has an optional 3-D view you can drag — it follows the same moves as the net. (The iOS app can also scan a real cube.)
Our privacy promise
CubeSensei Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no camera, and no data ever leaves your device — your progress, level, and days active are saved only in this browser.
Mistakes are part of it
You never lose anything for a wrong try. Wrong answers get a gentle explanation, and hints teach you how to reason — not just the answer. Every cuber gets tangled up before it clicks; that's exactly how learning works.
