The same solving ideas extend to other twisty puzzles — pyramids, dodecahedrons, and bigger cubes.

The Rubik's cube is just one of a whole family. A Pyraminx is a tetrahedron; a Megaminx is a 12-sided dodecahedron; the 4×4 and 5×5 are bigger cubes. They look wild, but the same ideas — pieces, layers, algorithms, pattern recognition — carry right over. Learn one puzzle deeply and the rest come faster.
