PLL slides the already-oriented last-layer pieces into their correct positions to finish the solve.

PLL (Permute the Last Layer) is the finish line. After OLL made the top solid, the pieces are facing right but may be in the wrong spots. PLL algorithms swap and cycle them into place — and the cube is solved. Recognise the pattern of side colours, fire the algorithm, done.
