Reading Feedback
📋 What it is
Every guess gives you clues — the feedback tells you how close you are, not just "wrong".
🗣️ Coach says
A wrong guess isn’t a dead end — it’s a free clue. In code-breaking, the feedback (right spot vs right colour) is the whole game. Read it, don’t just react to it.
🧠 Memory hook
Wrong ≠ wasted. Say "what did that guess just tell me?" after every try.
😂 Giggle
Why did the code-breaker never give up?
Because every wrong guess was still a clue!
😲 Whoa!
Good code-breakers can crack a 4-colour secret in about 5 guesses — because they squeeze a clue out of every single one.
✅ Quick check: You guess and get "2 right colours, 0 in the right spot." What does that tell you?
Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
Two of your colours belong in the code, but every one is in the wrong position — so move them, don’t drop them.
Feedback about colour vs position is different information; mixing them up wastes guesses.
🧪 Try it! (2 minutes)
Play one round of any guessing game and, after each guess, say ONE thing the feedback told you before you guess again.
