Privacy & how it works

EditQuest on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.

Everything stays on this device

Your progress — which assignments you've graded and your marks — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking

There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.

Grade a robot — all the skill, none of the sting

EditQuest teaches editing & proofreading by having you grade a friendly robot's confident-but-wrong homework, then write the fix and explain how you caught it. You practise catching and fixing errors on someone else's work (never your own) — an anti-shame way to sharpen editing. Built for ages 9–14 and aligned to CCSS ELA-Literacy conventions (L.1–3) and the writing revise/edit strand (W.5). A hint appears only after a first try, and the correct answer and rule are always shown.
