Mission 2 of 16

Forced Perspective

📋 What it is

Forced perspective tricks the eye — placing things at clever distances so something looks huge or tiny without any digital help.

🗣️ Coach says

Want to make an actor look like a giant? Put them close to the camera and the “tiny” people far away. Forced perspective uses distance and angles to fool your eye — no computer needed. It’s optical illusion as a filmmaking tool.

🧠 Memory hook

Close looks big, far looks small. Distance tricks the eye — no computer.

😂 Giggle

Why was the green screen always calm?
It knew how to keep its composure — and its compositing!

😲 Whoa!

Films have made actors look like giants or tiny people using nothing but careful positioning and camera angles — a trick as old as photography.
