About EssayForge
More than half of teens now use a chatbot for schoolwork. EssayForge is the opposite tool: an environment where the AI can only ask, and where your own writing process is the proof the work is yours.
How it works
- Plan. Write your thesis, then each paragraph's claim and the evidence you'll cite. A Socratic coach asks — "what's the claim here?", "where's your evidence?" — and fades to more concrete questions when you're stuck. It never writes a sentence for you.
- Draft. Write in your own words. The coach reads your plan and your draft and points at gaps ("your draft doesn't show paragraph 2's point yet — where will it go?").
- Revise. Each time you save a draft, EssayForge records a link in a tamper-evident chain — how many drafts, how the essay grew, over how long — and shows you a six-word verification phrase. It records how your essay grew, never a single word of it.
What it does NOT do — on purpose
- It never generates prose. The coach only asks questions (the house design law: the mentor structurally cannot hand you the answer).
- The receipt shows process, not proof. It is not an AI detector and never claims to be one — it simply lets a teacher watch an essay grow.
- It is not a grade of record. It's a scaffold for planning, drafting, and revising.
Your writing stays yours
Everything runs on this device. Your plan, your drafts, and your process receipt are stored locally and never uploaded — no account, no server, nothing transmitted. That's the same on-device, answer-withholding architecture across the whole studio.
