Telling a story from a character’s point of view helps us see the world through their eyes and understand why they act.

Every character sees the world differently. Telling part of a story from someone’s point of view — what they know, want and fear — lets the audience understand WHY they act. Perspective-taking is empathy, built into storytelling.
