Area & Perimeter
📋 What it is
Perimeter is the distance around the edge; area is the space covered inside.
🗣️ Coach says
Perimeter and area answer different questions. Perimeter is "how much fence?" (add up the sides). Area is "how much grass?" (cover the inside, length × width for a rectangle). Mixing them up is the #1 geometry slip.

Perimeter = the fence (go AROUND). Area = the grass (cover INSIDE, in little squares).

Two gardens can have the exact same perimeter but wildly different areas — a long thin one holds far less than a square one.
