A "solved" game has a known perfect strategy — with flawless play the result (win/lose/draw) is guaranteed.

Some games are fully cracked by math and computers: play perfectly and the outcome is fixed. Connect-4 is a first-player win; other games are forced draws. Knowing a game is solved tells you what perfect play even looks like.
