Round 7 of 16

Hex — Connection Paths

📋 What it is

Hex: connect your two sides of a hexagon board with an unbroken chain of your pieces to win.

🗣️ Coach says

Hex is pure connection. You win by linking YOUR two opposite edges; blocking your opponent automatically helps your own path. On a hex grid there are no draws — someone always connects.

🧠 Memory hook

Connect your two sides. Blocking them helps you — no draws in Hex.

😂 Giggle

Why did the blocker feel heroic?
Because stopping the opponent's win is half the game!

😲 Whoa!

It’s mathematically proven that Hex can never end in a draw — one player must always form a connecting chain.

✅ Quick check: Why can a game of Hex never end in a draw?

Say your answer out loud first — then reveal.
