About HeartPals
HeartPals helps children ages 6–8 meet the tricky little words reading throws at them — said, to, he, was — without memorising whole shapes. Each word has one part that makes a surprise sound; you mark it, hear the word, and learn the friendly reason why. The rest of the word you sound out like any other.
It is the reading-buddy half of our open Sound Road sequence: HeartPals uses the exact same heart words the Sound Road teaches, so a child meets them in a sensible order.
Everything is calm: no score, no streak, no timer, nothing to buy. Everything runs on this device — there are no accounts, and nothing a child does leaves the device.
Honest note for grown-ups: HeartPals is practice, not a promise of a reading level. It grows reading best alongside lots of real books read together.
