Playing HouseTots together 🏠
HouseTots is a cozy doll’s house for ages 3–5 with two parts: The house (open pretend play in four rooms) and My garden (a little garden that grows over time). Nook the dormouse lives here and does whatever your child taps.
1 · Open pretend play, no goal to win
Pick a room and tap the things in it — the stove, the bath, the blocks. Nook acts each one out with a gentle spoken line ("Nook is making breakfast!"). There is no score, no timer, and no way to lose. It's the digital version of playing with a doll’s house: your child makes the story.
2 · A pretend day that matches yours
Nook’s greeting follows the real time of day — a morning welcome in the morning, a sleepy hush at night — so the pretend day feels like your child’s own day. Nothing is enforced; it’s just a warm, familiar rhythm.
3 · A garden that never dies
In My garden, plant a seed and it grows on its own — even after you close the app and come back later. Nothing ever wilts. There is no water-it-or-it-dies, no timer to beat, and nothing to buy. It's a calm, forgiving little world your child can tend whenever they like.
Meet the crew
- Nook the dormouse — the friendly little resident who acts out whatever you tap.
What it’s good for (and what we don’t claim)
- Open pretend play: your child directs the story — no right answer, no fail.
- A gentle sense of a day: morning, midday, evening, night — a familiar rhythm.
- A patient, persistent world: things grow in real time, and nothing dies while you’re away.
HouseTots is not a lesson or a brain-training app, and we make no claim it raises IQ or test scores. It’s an honest little house.
Safe by design
- On your device. Your house and garden stay in your browser — no account, nothing sent anywhere.
- No camera, no photos, no microphone recording, no chat. (Nook’s lines are read aloud by your device’s built-in voice.)
- No ads, no shop, no streaks, no stress timers. Just play.
