For grown-ups

What LanternTales is

LanternTales is an audio-first bedtime story for ages 3–5. The story reads itself aloud, so a child who cannot read yet can enjoy it on their own. At each turn, your child chooses what happens next by tapping one of two big picture buttons.

Why choosing matters

Making a choice — even a tiny one — helps a young child feel like part of the story and builds early story sense: characters, what-happens-next, and a beginning-middle-end. Every path is gentle and every path ends softly at "the end," so there are no scary dead ends and no wrong choices.

Calm by design

There is no autoplay — the story only speaks after your child taps, so it never plays on its own. There is no score, no streak, no timer, and nothing to buy. The buttons are big for little hands. It is made to wind down toward sleep, not to keep a child hooked.

Coming soon: Tiếng Việt

A Vietnamese version is written and waiting for a native-speaker review before it goes live — we never read a machine translation to a child. Until then, the stories are in English.

The stories

  • ⭐ The Sleepy Little Star
  • ✨ Pip the Firefly Goes Home
  • 🌙 The Moon Makes a Blanket
  • 🐚 The Sleepy Seashell
  • 🦉 Ollie Owl Says Goodnight

Honest note: LanternTales is a calm, screen-light way to enjoy a story together and practise listening and choosing — it is play, not a promise of a reading level. Everything runs on this device; there are no accounts, and nothing your child does leaves the device. It is loveliest read alongside real books at bedtime.
