For grown-ups
How to use it
- Write a small promise to yourself, and an if-then plan for keeping it ("if it is after dinner, then I practise for ten minutes").
- Later, on your own time, tap how it went: Kept it · Partly · Not yet. A gentle reflection question appears — no grade, no guilt.
- Remove a pact whenever you like. Your pacts are saved on this device.
Why a pact + an if-then plan
Two well-evidenced ideas do the work here. A self-authored goal (chosen, not assigned) supports motivation far better than an imposed one — that's why the child writes the promise in their own words. And an implementation intention ("if situation, then action") reliably helps people follow through, because it decides in advance when and where. We describe the rationale honestly and claim no measured behaviour change — PactForge is a supportive tool, not an intervention.
No nagging, no counting
There are deliberately no notifications, no reminders, no streak, and no score. Nothing pings the child or shames a missed day; the outcomes are kept · partly · not yet — never "failed." Accountability here is a quiet check-in the learner chooses, not pressure. Everything is on this device only.
