Counting seeds lets you predict the exact landing pit and choose the move that captures or avoids trouble.

This is calculation, not luck. Since seeds-in-a-pit equals steps, you can figure out EXACTLY where each possible move ends — and pick the one whose last seed captures, lands in your store for an extra turn, or dodges giving the enemy a capture. Predicting the landing pit is the core skill of every strong player.
