About SensePals

SensePals is a survey a child fills in — a way to notice how each room of a place feels, and to author their own sensory map.

Why a child-made map?

A sensory map that a child makes themselves belongs to them. Naming what helps — “I like a heads-up before a loud room” — is the first step of self-advocacy: knowing what you need, and being able to ask.

Careful + private by design

  • On your device. Your rooms and map stay in your browser — no account, no sign-in, nothing sent anywhere.
  • Plain words only. Everything is first-person and behavioral — never clinical.
  • Never a diagnosis. SensePals is not a medical or diagnostic tool, and never suggests one.
  • No scores. There are no right or wrong answers — just what you notice.
