What your child practices

SkyPals teaches emotion-science literacy — the way scientists actually describe feelings: two dials, how pleasant (warm ↔ cool) and how much energy (windy ↔ still). Every feeling has a place where those two dials meet. We show it as weather and four sky birds instead of a grid or a colour, because a 6–8 child reads a real place more easily than an abstract chart.

  • Whose Sky? — your child reads the clues in a short story (what happened, what a friend’s body did, what they said), predicts which bird’s sky the friend is under, then sees where the friend put themselves and why. The surest way to know a feeling is always to ask — never to guess from a face.
  • Meet the Birds — the two dials, made playful: turn warm/cool and windy/still and see which bird they point to. This builds the map itself.
  • Word Skies — a feeling word floats up and your child places it in the right sky, growing their feelings vocabulary with meaning — the warm words and the cool words both belong.

Every sky is a real place

There is no “bad” sky and no goal corner — SkyPals never tells a child to “get back to happy”. Stormy and grey skies are as real and okay as bright ones. A less-matched guess is a warm “nice noticing”, never a “wrong”. Tap 🔊 to hear anything read aloud for new readers.

A map, not a mood tracker

This is the one promise that makes SkyPals different: it is a map, not a log. Your child’s own feelings are never saved — not on the device, not anywhere. There is no diary, no history, no “how do you feel today?” check-in that gets stored. When the page closes, any feeling your child explored simply drifts away. Only which games they have played is remembered, in this browser. There is no microphone and no camera.

When a feeling stays big

SkyPals helps a child notice feelings; it is not therapy and does not measure anyone. If a feeling stays big or heavy for a while, the strongest move is a real one: talk with a trusted grown-up together. Reading a story about weather is a spark; a caring adult is the anvil.

Our privacy promise

SkyPals Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no microphone, no camera; nothing your child feels or taps ever leaves this device. Only which activities have been played is saved, only in this browser.
