For grown-ups
What your child practices
SplashPals teaches calm, repeatable water-safety literacy for ages 6–8 — the same layered-protection model paediatricians and Safe Kids recommend. Drowning is quiet and fast, and it is a leading cause of death for young children; a child who knows the rules and a family with a plan are safer.
- Reach or Throw — the core rule: never go in the water to help someone. Stay on land and reach something out, or throw something that floats. Your child predicts the safe action, then sees why.
- Layers of Safety — no single thing keeps a child safe near water. Your child builds the five layers: a fence, a Water Watcher, a life jacket, swim lessons, and a grown-up who knows CPR.
- Our Water Plan — you and your child fill in who watches and the family rules, then print it for the fridge. The plan is the point; the app just helps you make it.
Gentle by design
No peril pictures, no scary scenes, no scores, no losing. A less-safe pick is always a warm re-teach — Bob shows the safe way, never says "wrong". Tap 🔊 to hear a prompt read aloud for new readers.
This is not a substitute
SplashPals teaches safety awareness. It does not replace formal swim lessons, a life jacket, or a grown-up watching. Please pair it with real lessons and constant supervision.
Our privacy promise
