Heads up: this browser isn't saving anything for this site, so progress and settings reset when you leave the page. Everything still works while you're here.
TaleForge on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.
Your work stays on this device
Your progress — best scores and XP — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.
No AI writing for you — the craft checks are built in
TaleForge never writes your story for you; the mentor asks questions and the words stay yours. Nothing is sent to a model or a server: instead, the craft activities (Story Architect, World Keystone, Voice Lab) use clear, built-in rules that run entirely on your device. You do the writing thinking; the app just shows you why a craft move works.
Built for young writers ages 9–14
The 400 Concepts questions cover story structure, character, descriptive writing, dialogue and voice, plot, revision, genre, world-building, point of view, theme, and more — aligned to Common Core ELA writing and language standards. A hint appears only after a first try — you think it through first, and every wrong turn is treated as part of learning.
It teaches — it does not test, grade, or label
TaleForge is practice, not an assessment. It does not score anyone's writing ability and it makes no judgments about a young writer. It supports craft, curiosity, and confidence — that's all.
