Playing TrayTots together 🧺
TrayTots is a take-turns fruit game for ages 3–5. It’s the grown-up move of drafting (pick one from a shared row, pass the rest — like Sushi-Go) shrunk to something a three-year-old can hold. The big idea: take one, leave the rest — your pick changes what’s left for your friend.
1 · Look at Wicker’s tray
Each round a small tray of fruit appears. Talk about the colours: “Which one does your basket need?”
2 · Take ONE fruit
The child taps one fruit — it drops into their rainbow basket. The basket wants one of each colour 🍎🍊🍋🍐🫐, and it shows which colours are still needed (they glow “need!”).
3 · Leave the rest for Juniper
Whatever you don’t take passes to Juniper, who picks one too. Point it out: “You took the apple, so Juniper picked from the rest.” That’s the quiet lesson — your choice shapes what your friend can pick.
4 · Fill your rainbow
Keep going until your basket has all five colours — a full rainbow. Juniper is picking fruit too, from what you leave. No one loses.
No timers, no streaks, no score to chase, and no negative points. Both baskets fill — the game is about taking turns, sharing, and sorting by colour. On-device — nothing leaves your device.
